Prague in October

Welcome to the true heart of autumn. Do not worry, the end of the summer is not the end of the world as October brings a special, calm, and very charming atmosphere to the city. Prague is often called “The Golden City” and now this saying will get even deeper meaning as October carries more gold in its pockets than any other month. Trees are revealing colors that they have been hiding all year, as well as our 5star Alcron Hotel is revealing newly renovated rooms that we have been rebuilding for the past few months. You can enjoy the comfort of our laid-back luxurious rooms and suites designed for perfect relaxation, chill at our stylish BeBop Bar located in our Art Deco Alcron Hotel lobby, or just indulge in many things that you can try out this month in Prague.

The international festival Designblok is the largest design and fashion show in Central Europe displaying the work (lightning, furnishing, and clothing) of new and well-known designers. This festival is held at the Monastery of St. Gabriel from the 5th until the 9th. If you stroll around the city center after dark from the 13th to the 16th, you will see Prague in a different light. The famous Signal Festival will illuminate many of Prague’s famous buildings using the most modern lightning technology and projection. The typical autumn weather just calls for a stop for a hot coffee during your walk in the city. The best time to enjoy a wide variety of different blends of coffee is at the Prague Coffee Festival in the Prague Market in Holesovice on the 22nd. However, if you want one of the best latte in Prague, just stop by our popular BeBop Bar. This month you have the last chance to visit the exhibition eMotion at Prague Castle which covers thousands of square meters with digitized and 3D animated versions of the famous works of Alfons Mucha.

The O2 Universum and O2 arena host the concert of famous singer Anastacia on the 4th and the legendary British band The Cure on the 24th. If you are in the mood for a classical music experience, then The Prague Symphony Orchestra 2022 Series performs in the stunning Smetana Hall at Municipal House on the 5th and 6th. Opera lovers should not miss the opera Don Giovanni at the Estates Theatre on the 5th, 8th, and 15th, and the very last performance of this year on the 21st.

Independent Czechoslovak State Day is a public holiday and a very important milestone in the country’s history. Besides the traditional program commemorating the creation of Czechoslovakia in 1918, you can look forward to free entry to the Municipal House and the National Gallery, both located within a 10-minute walk from our luxurious Alcron Hotel.

October is a symphony of changeable weather that teaches us that a change can be beautiful and enjoyable. We believe this can be applied even to the change of our popular Alcron Hotel and the chic design of our premium and deluxe rooms. Be the first one who stays in the newly renovated rooms that you can book for the first time in October! May this month bring you the blessing of change full of joy, love, happiness, and good health for the months ahead.
