July in Prague is very busy so you may be experiencing difficulties finding space at the restaurants, cafes and hotels. If you get tired of the busy city and have time to escape the crowds for a while, the mushroom picking season starts in July which could be considered national sport in the Czech Republic. The only thing you need to do is to wake up a bit earlier and grab the basket. You need a good pair of eyes to look for different kinds of mushrooms as there are about 35 kinds. Careful though! Not all of them are edible and some even poisonous. Take a helpful guidebook with you to recognize most mushrooms.
