The month of May, more than any other month of the year, wants us to feel alive. The warm energy causes flowers to blossom, people to participate in joyful celebrations, and Prague to open most of its outside activities. And what are your plans for May?

MAKE 1st of MAY YOUR MOST LOVEABLE  DAY

First day of this month is a public holiday celebrating not only Labour Day, but also love. In Czechia, 1st of May has been known as the day of love long before Czechs learned about Valentine’s Day. According to the old tradition, a girl ought to be kissed under a cherry blossom tree to stay beautiful and healthy all year. If you want to experience the Czech version of Valentine’s Day, take a walk to Petrin Hill, the area where lovers have walked for centuries, and kiss your loved one under the tree there. Then you can take a short walk through the park to the St. Wenceslas Vineyard below Prague Castle and celebrate with a glass of rosé at the Festival of Rosé Wines. If you feel like celebrating this special day until late night hours, there is no better place to do so than in our cozy BeBop bar with one of the entertaining signature cocktails.

This day is a public holiday celebrating the end of World War II. You can mark one more achievement if you participate in the famous Prague Marathon. It winds through the heart of Prague and belongs to one of the most beautiful races in the world. Please note that some streets in the city center will be closed for car traffic. As Alcron Hotel is located right in the city center, you can use our valet parking and comfortably reach the most beautiful parts of Prague on foot.

In May, you can enjoy a real concert boom in Prague. Here are suggestions for only a few out of so many.
