GO FOR A MOVIE, EXHIBITION, OR BATTLE OF WHITE MOUNTAIN

There are varieties of exhibitions you can reach within a few minutes by walk from our Art Deco Alcron Hotel. In addition to those mentioned in our previous Alcron blogs, The National Museum holds the Olympic Tokyo exhibition or Kings of the Sun exhibition documenting Czech Egyptologists’ discoveries, both open until the end of September. You can look forward to the best cinema releases of the international film festival Febiofest at Cinema City Slovansky dum from the 17th until the 24th of September. Another unique event is the Re-enactment of the Battle of White Mountain on the 18th and 19th of September. You can go back in time by watching hundreds of soldiers and horse riders meet at the historical battlefield at Obora Hvezda to commemorate this important part of Czech history which happened in 1620.

SEPTEMBER WILL GET YOU IN THE MUSIC MOOD

Are you staying in our 5star Alcron Hotel on the 8th of September? Perfect! Just cross the street to Lucerna House and go for the concert of a music icon of the 70’ and 80’, Bonnie Tyler. The next concert you can attend this month and even get a bit emotional by hearing the famous song “Love Hurts” is the concert of legendary Nazareth on the 30th of September at Forum Karlin. If you prefer to spend your time outside, the open-air festival “Prague Sounds” features a series of concerts that will take place on the floating stage on the Vltava River from the 2nd to the 8th of September. Last, but not least, the Prague Open Dance Festival is the largest international dance competition in the Czech Republic, taking place from the 10th until the 12th of September at Forum Karlin. Nearly 800 dance pairs from around the world including world dance champions will not leave your body still.

DO YOU FANCY PROSECCO, RUM, OR BEER?

Villa Richter invites guests to the festival dedicated to Prosecco and Italian food on the 4th and 5th of September. The public holiday, 28th of September, celebrates the famous Czech patron Saint Wenceslas and you can celebrate the grape harvest at the wine festival with live music also at the Wenceslas vineyard at Villa Richter. On the 11th of September, Zlute Lazne hosts an indoor and outdoor festival of rum offering over 100 brands of rum from around the world. Beer lovers should not miss out on the festival of microbreweries held in an outdoor setting of Prague Castle on the 24th of September.
